GENERAL INFO: Nepenthes sanguinea is a beautiful and easy to grow species. Long favored by growers for its vigorous growth and large, robust orange and red pitchers. This listing is for the small plant in the final photos. (Large plant for comparison)

LIGHT/ENVIRONMENT: Nepenthes in general require at least 60% humidity and 60 degree minimum temps. These plants are generally divided into highland and lowland species, each requiring varying humidity and temperature conditions. Research your species for exact conditions, but follow above guidelines for generalized results.

SOIL/MEDIA: We use an 80/10/10 mix of long fiber spaghnum, orchid bark and perlite for all nepenthes. Many species grow in mossy nooks and crannies on or near trees and dense brush for them to hook onto and climb.

WATER: Water from over head as needed to keep the medium wet without water logging the roots. Do not keep in standing water. Ensure the pitchers are refilled 20 % with low TDS water upon acclimating the plant.

CONTAINERS: Shipped in a 4 inch pot which should be large enough for at least a year of growth. Then transition to 10-12 inch well drained pots for final transplant.
